Efficiency in OR-Management with automated steering - SLM

The complexity of daily hospital routines requires a fully functional emergency management strategy that includes the flexible planning and effective monitoring of processes, so that any clinical situations that arise can be handled competently. The ORchestrion® Steering and Localization Module (SLM) is designed to deal with challenges that arise during the monitoring of available resources and the coordination of their use on the day of surgery.

SLM for operating room coordinators:
As an operating room coordinator, you would like to be up to date about the current status of the surgeries. You also want to be able to quickly and flexibly react to new situations. With the aid of patient tracking, SLM allows the real-time steering and management of all treatment processes. Tracking uses a small, Ekahau W-LAN tag that is issued to patients when they are admitted for surgery.

Automated process administration permits automated management of the personnel regarding treatment-relevant tasks, rendering phone calls unnecessary. Mobile task management, which can be used in conjunction with SLM, particularly simplifies processes. The responsible staff members receive automated text messages to their mobile devices. In addition, automated adjustment of the OR plan in case of delays or changes in resource availability ensures optimal utilization of OR capacity.
